But it did not get to where it is today for nothing. Shopee is an interesting place. Here, you can buy all sorts of products such as gadgets, electronics, cosmetics, beauty tools, food, fashion items, among other things. But what I like the best about Shopee is the items here are sold cheap. Like, insanely affordable!
Not everything being sold here is of high quality, but if you just dig deep, you'll find items that will surprise you! Just like this recent discovery that I had, the Z'oreya 15-piece Makeup Brush Set.
I used to hate cheap makeup brushes. I just didn't trust them. A lot of these have soft bristles but still can't blend for your life. For a long time, I just turned to my bare fingers for my makeup application. I don't wear heavy makeup anyway and just mostly need to blend my foundation. However, boredom got into me this quarantine period and while browsing on Shopee, I just thought why not buy a new eyeshadow palette? The problem though is that I don't have decent brushes. So aside from eyeshadow, I decided to buy a new brush set as well. At first, I wanted to get the much-raved Wet n Wild 17-piece brush set, but there were a lot of options on Shopee that are much, much cheaper.
Of course, I was skeptical. But I had to have a leap of faith and trusted the reviews that I saw on the app. After all, cheap Amazon brushes have become a trend, so I thought there's no harm in trying, right? Anyway, among the top-rated brush sets was the one by Z'oreya so I decided to go for it.
Review of Z'oreya 15-piece Makeup Brush Set
What I love about it:
- Soft bristles
- Doesn't hurt when tapped onto the skin
- Blends well
- No fallouts even after washing
- Insanely affordable
What I don't love about it:
- The angled foundation brush hurts a little and leaves streaks
The brush set came with a velcro pouch for storage. There are also four brush guards for the big brushes while the rest only came in plastic. The handle is made of wood and smaller than your typical makeup brushes. The bristles are soft, although some are not in place so you might have to cut them. Unlike those cheap brushes that I used in the past, these don't hurt at all when tapped onto the skin, except for the angled foundation brush. That one I hate! Among all the brushes in the set, I like the angled foundation brush the least. It hurt a little and leaves streak when applying foundation. So this one is a NO for me. But the rest of the brushes, they do their job and they do it well.

Definitely! This set isn't only great for beginners but professionals as well. However, you might have to buy a separate brush or sponge for foundation application.
