A lot of you may not know this, but back in high school, I used to have a lot of acne. My skin improved in college though and I was getting fewer pimples. However, it didn't really look healthy. I tried lots and lots of products because the skincare trends were towering. Some of these products did help improve the appearance of my skin, but then I later realized that I don't really need those long ass skincare routines when I discovered the power of rejuvenating sets. Now, I don't fear acne anymore!
Today, I'm going to talk about one of my favorite rejuvenating sets, the Jenna Essence Mild Kit. As you read on, you'll find out why this made it to my top beauty list.

Review of Jenna Essence Mild Kit
What I love about it:
- Minimal peeling
- Less redness
- Cleared my stubborn bumps
- Improved my skin complexion
- Gave me the glass skin look
- So affordable!
First off, I would like to apologize for the lousy photos because I didn't document my whole experience. I was on a blogging hiatus and I honestly did not expect that I would write again so I just have to make do with the photos that I have on my camera roll.
Before (February 22)
This is what my skin looked like before using the Jenna Essence Mild Kit. As you can see in the photo, I didn't have active acne but I did have these persistent bumps as well as some hyperpigmentation. Mind you, I was wearing foundation in this photo but my skin concerns were still so evident.
On my first week
- My skin started to peel a little. I was quite worried about this because based on my experience with other brands, the peeling becomes worse and usually lasts about 2-3 weeks. BUT I was so surprised that the peeling didn't worsen and actually went away really quickly
- My skin started to purge. This is supposed to happen with rejuvenating sets because the products are working deep into the skin. But my purging here wasn't drastic. I think there were just like 2-3 new pimples that popped up which easily dried out.
On my second week
- No more peeling. I was so surprised that the peeling didn't last long. I was also very thankful because I was going to work and trust me, peeling doesn't look good with foundation.
On my third week
- My bumps were drying out. The thing about these bumps is when they dry out, they become blackheads. That's why I keep a blackhead extractor so I can extract them on my own.
After (April 8)
After (April 14)
So after about six weeks, my rejuvenating cream ran out, but I kept using the kojic soap and rejuvenating toner together with my aloe vera gel as the moisturizer. This is how my skin looked like! No foundation, just lip tint hehe!
Other things to note
- The smell of the products, including the soap and toner is very mild. Kind of similar to baby powder.
- The contents of the rejuvenating cream and sunscreen gel cream are a lot less compared to the soap and toner, so expect them to run out faster. You might also be surprised by how little the product is inside the container but that's just how it is. You don't need a lot of it anyway. I only use very little of each product because they spread easily, which is why they lasted me six weeks.
- After the rejuvenating cream runs out, don't go and use another rejuvenating cream. Go for less harsh moisturizers such as aloe vera gel. Wait at least 1-2 months before using the set again.
- Do a patch test before using the set. This is important to avoid skin irritation.
How much and where can I purchase?
