What is Lucas' Papaw?
Lucas' Papaw is a family-owned brand that originated from Australia. Its history can be traced back to over 100 years ago when Dr. Thomas Pennington Lucas discovered the benefits of pawpaw (better known as papaya in the Philippines). He then devoted to his research until he perfected the formulation of this ointment. Several generations later, the all-important papaw remedies have been passed on to his descendants and thus, his legacy remains living.
The Benefits of Pawpaw
Pawpaw, the fruit itself, has several health benefits since it has high antioxidant and nutrients content. Among these benefits include immunity booster, lowers cholesterol, improves digestion, prevents cancer, and acts as protection against skin damage. In the Philippines, it is infused in different beauty products that claim to lighten the skin's complexion.

Review of Lucas' Papaw Ointment
What I love about it:
- Helps heal chapped lips
- Moisturizes the skin
- Reduces insect bite itchiness and inflammation
- Speeds up healing of wounds
- A little goes a long way!
What I love about it is a little of this product goes a long way. Some may think it is pricey for its size but trust me, it will last longer than you think. I'm not sure if I mentioned this before, but one of my biggest skin concerns is chapped lips. I've tried lip products including Vaseline and Maybelline Baby Lips but nothing ever seemed to work that I ultimately just stopped trying. But then I saw that a lot of people are using Lucas' Papaw to heal their chapped lips. That's why I thought to myself, why not try it since I already have one anyway?
When I applied it on my lips, the first thing I noticed is that it's not sticky. It kinda feels like you have oil on your lips, but it dries after several minutes. It is also important to note that this ointment melts easily especially in this scorching weather. So if you can, I suggest that you store it in the fridge.
And its effect? God, it is life-changing! At least for me. I swear, nothing has ever worked like this on my lips. It made them soft, supple, and crack-free! For once in my life, I finally didn't have to peel that disgusting dry skin off my lips (and will never have to)! Should I call this the Lucas Papaw lip miracle healer?
Of course, I had to know what else it can do. So I started using it on my insect bites, and voila! It reduced the itchiness and inflammation. I also use this once a day on my sole because my skin is peeling down there. It's definitely not cracked heels. I think my skin may have just gotten a little dry and needs some pampering but I'm too lazy to do a DIY foot spa. Anyway, since I started using Lucas Papaw, I have seen drastic changes and the peeling is almost gone! I feel like if I had used it more often, the effect would have shown faster.
Where can I purchase?
Lucas' Papaw is available on Watsons and Mercury Drug Store. It costs a little more compared to its price in Australia because it is imported—what with the tax and all. It is also available on BeautyMNL. You can also purchase Lucas Papaw Ointment from Amazon. I have also seen it being sold on Lazada and Shopee but I wouldn't recommend them because there are a lot of Lucas' Papaw counterfeit. If you want to try and purchase from these sites, I suggest you read the reviews first. Be vigilant. Check the photos. See if there are fake reviews. If it's too good to be true, then it's most probably too good to be true.
Is it worth the hype? Yes! And I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
