JUNE FAVORITE: Mumuso Aloe Vera Gel

If there's one critical red flag that a beauty junkie must never ever shrug off, it's this one thing—never skip the moisturizer. Girls and gals, there may not be a written rule book about beauty, but it's somewhere out in the air, just floating and roaming. It doesn't matter that you can't see it, just abide to it.

Surprisingly, I found love in something that is extremely mainstream. Yup, aloe vera gel! With the rise of K-beauty trends, there's no doubt this 'miracle product' would be a holy grail of many. However, never had I thought it would be mine too. So, shall we dig deeper into it?

According to this Mumuso Aloe Vera Moisturizing Gel, it contains 92% aloe gel, and it has potent power to hydrate, rejuvenate, and brighten the skin. For P99 per tub, you really get more than of what you pay for. Or does it sound too good to be true?

Even though Mumuso has become a go-to brand for many Filipinos, it actually has its fair share of tirade when the news leaked that it is actually a Chinese brand and not a Korean brand like it is marketed. Sounds rather scary, doesn't it? I, however, don't find it much of a big deal. There are in fact a lot of products that are made in China and are 100% safe and of high quality. Besides, I'd been using this product for months before all the rage happened and it had been totally great for my skin.

Going back to its beneficial properties, I believe this aloe gel is true to its promise. My skin really does feel hydrated, rejuvenated, and brightened after using this. It feels cool and refreshing when applied, non-sticky, and easily dried. Additionally, as many of you may know, one of my biggest skin concerns is clogged pores, and to my surprise, this product didn't contribute to this problem.

Therefore, in all its entirety, I'd definitely recommend this product to anyone who, obviously, isn't allergic to aloe vera. LOL. Or if you're a little sensitive and afraid of its "China" label, then I'd suggest you resort to other brands that are probably a little pricier but will give you a peace of mind.

VERDICT:

PROS:
  • Affordable
  • Non-sticky
  • Easily dries
  • True to its promise
CONS:
  • None so far
