REVIEW: Sleek i-Divine Mineral Based Eyeshadow Palette in Sunset

Hi, everyone! It's been a while since the last time I posted a blog review of a beauty product. In just a span of 3 months, some big changes have happened in my life—I finally graduated from my university degree and got a job as a writer at a magazine publishing company. With the workloads I have been dealing with lately, I barely have the time to write a quality blog post.

Today, I am going to review a makeup product by the popular brand Sleek. Before my graduation, I was on a lookout for a good eyeshadow product that would be perfect for my big event. So, I started searching for some cheap drugstore brands on the web and discovered the i-Divine Mineral Based Eyeshadow Palette by Sleek. I decided to get the Sunset palette because of the orange and copper shades. Unfortunately, the delivery time had been delayed, so I wasn't able to use it for my graduation look.

Anyways, let's take a view of the back part of the box. As you can see, it has brief instructions that are helpful for beginners like me. It is also indicated ingredients used in the making of the product so that you know if there are harmful chemicals in it and can secure your safety.

The case looks simple and is very handy. The size of the palette is small so you can take it anywhere with you. It has a little mirror inside and a sponge applicator which actually turns out better than what most drugstore brands would include in such palettes. Additionally, there is a clear plastic over the pots, that has all the shades' name written on it.

I do love the shades since these are what I actually wanted in the first place, and the palette didn't fail me. They were, however, all shimmery except for the black or the Nightfall shade.

The swatches are pigmented and creamy with very little to no fallout, except for some shades which, I guess, you have to layer in order to get the result that you really want. The blending is easy even for beginners. Also, I do not see the need of using a primer for this since it sticks to the skin just fine, but of course, if you want an even smoother application, then you should just go for it.

I haven't yet had the chance to take a photo of myself wearing this palette, but I might update this post to add one.

VERDICT:

PROS:
  • Great shades
  • Creamy and pigmented, with little to no fallout
  • Easily blends
  • Long-lasting
  • Reasonable price (P695 at BeautyMNL, P848 at Sephora)

CONS:
  • Out of stock most of the time

RATING: 5.0 OUT OF 5.0

WOULD I REPURCHASE? Maybe. There are a lot of eyeshadow brands that I would like to try so I might not buy this one again anytime soon.
